Dear Hillcrest CRC Members:

The Hillcrest Council will soon establish lists of nominations for the offices of Elder and Deacon. These nominations are based on the members who have indicated their own willingness to serve as well as the names of members who have been submitted by others.

The Council highly encourages members to indicate their willingness to serve in capacities where they feel called to use their spiritual gifts. One of the ways you are able to use your gift of administration is to serve on the Ministry Council. This is why there is a separate column for Ministry Council Elder and Ministry Council Deacon. The following are brief summaries of the responsibilities associated with these offices:

Elder: Responsible for the pastoral care and shepherding of the congregation and the spiritual leadership of the church.
Deacon: Responsible for addressing benevolent needs of the congregation, the community and the world and for promoting and fostering Christian stewardship.
Ministry Council: Responsible for all administration of the church and providing leadership in setting direction for church ministries.

Descriptions of the office of Elder and Deacon may also be referenced in the back of the Psalter Hymnal.

Please prayerfully consider the names of the men you would like to submit for nomination to serve as Elder, and men and women for nomination to serve as Deacon.  You may submit as many members as you desire.

This year we will need to elect 4 Elders and 3 Deacons, 1 MC Elder and 1 MC Deacon. After listing your suggestions below, please click submit. The deadline for submissions is Sunday, February 22.
